The short version: I only ask for the details needed to build and host your site, and I never sell or share them.
Who I am
upinaweek is a one-person website service based in Hull, UK. I'm the data controller for the information described below. Email me at info@upinaweek.com with any question about your data.
What I collect
- When you order: your email address and business name, sent securely through my order form (Formspree).
- When you pay: payments are processed by Stripe, who collect your card details. I never see or store them.
- When you book a call: whatever you share on the Calendly booking page; Calendly stores it under their own policy.
- Basic analytics: standard anonymised visitor statistics through Cloudflare, so I can see roughly how many people visit the site. No personal identifiers.
- Email: if you email me, I keep the conversation to answer it.
Why I use it
The details I collect are used only to: build your website, take payment, provide your hosting, respond to your messages, and keep the site running. I don't buy marketing lists, don't sell your details to anyone, and don't send unsolicited marketing. If you've ordered a website, I'll email you about that order — that's it.
Hosting your website
Websites I build are hosted with Cloudflare. If you have a site hosted with me, you should also refer to Cloudflare's privacy policy for how they process the data of visitors to your website.
Who I share data with
Only the services necessary to run the business: Formspree (order forms), Stripe (payments), Calendly (call bookings) and Cloudflare (hosting and analytics). Each processes data under their own privacy policy and for the sole purpose of providing that service. Under UK GDPR, third-country transfers are covered by their respective safeguards.
How long I keep it
Order details and correspondence are kept while the business relationship is active and for a sensible period afterwards (typically up to 6 years, to meet accounting requirements). You can ask me to delete your information at any time by emailing info@upinaweek.com.
Cookies
This site doesn't set its own tracking cookies. Cloudflare's services may set cookie-equivalent identifiers for security and analytics, and Google Fonts may store data in your browser; these are covered by those providers' policies.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to its use, or ask me to move it, all at no cost. Contact info@upinaweek.com and I'll respond within 30 days.
